Living in my own private Idaho.

This semester has been truly amazing. I got the job I wanted, I'm liking all of my classes, my roommates are awesome, and our guy friends are rad. What more could I have asked for? Well maybe better health. The only thing that has been keeping me back. Since September I have been sick with some type of illness, it keeps changing but it's always there. Annoying.
There have been so many things that I've done this semester that are fun. We went to haunted houses, and to the civil defense caves! That was an adventure. My roommate got married, so now I have the room alllll to myself. (Everyone's getting married)
We have also been cooking a ton of food, it's delicious.

College is SO good sometimes. But now I'm even happier to be home for Thanksgiving with my family. I love them!!!

The Long and Winding Road...

This past week has been pretty crazy. There has been a death in the family, my uncle David. I never got to really ever see him, since he hasn't ever really lived by us, but I do know that in many ways he really helped his family to be who they are today. I just think of how I want my dad to be here forever, but that's so selfish of me. I know that things happen for a reason, and Kim helped me to realize that. Her dad passed away one year ago, and I know it's been hard. But we can only look for the good and keep moving forward. I got to hang out with Kim and Kasey a lot this week, my last week in BC, and it's been wonderful. We got to go to an Allred concert!!! Which I've always wanted to go to... he is amazing! We also got to watch many movies, and just hang out. I am so happy that my friends are wonderful. I'm excited to live with my friend Dawna, it will be a blast. Today I got to teach sunday school. I get really nervous in front of people, and the other sunday school class had to join with us. It was a huge class! But I got through it, and I know it was because the spirit was with me.
I'm ready to go to school. I move up tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to a fresh new semester. There is still some packing that I have to do... but I wanted to send this out into the void before I move up

Hooked on a feeling?

I've been down in Provo staying with my sister and hanging out with Anna. It was really such a good experience. I was able to get away from BC for a while and just have fun. I'm glad that Anna's starting to get better, and I can't wait for her to get married in December. Lately I have seen so many people getting engaged and married, and I am starting to realize that I am growing up. It makes me miss the good old times, with my friends from high school, that are now all on missions. I've been starting to really miss them. I just know that what they are doing is being faithful and serving the Lord, and that is amazing. But even after being down in Prov and hanging out with Rach and Krister, I'm still glad to be back at home and be with my family. My friends here are great too, today Kasey, Dawna, and I all gave blood. And we got FREE teeshirts! It was really fun. This is going to be the last week that I'm here before college starts. I'm actually really excited! A few of my classes I'm really looking forward to are Understanding DNA, Intro to Architecture interior design, and foods- where I can cook! I am hoping that I'll be able to get my old job, and handle 15 credits.

I'm only happy when it RAINS

The Olympics! We went to the park and played a few games, and had gold medals as the rewards for the winners. Of course Zane basically dominated every event, it was so fun. My little brothers make me laugh, they were great at the potato races. Luckily I basically won in two events and got medals. It was a fun day followed by many games of Ghost Recon!
We are working on cleaning and fixing up our storage room. It has been taking days, and my brothers aren't very enthusiastic about it. But finally we got everything out and started insulating. We're going to work on sheet rocking next week... Really looking forward to that. I also talked Mike and Kasey into watching Hannah Montana, and also going to the Time Traveler's Wife. They were both wonderful, but of course I enjoyed the movies a lot more than they did. Sometimes I like to just be a girl.. I know that the boys don't enjoy it much, but it is fun on occasion! My cousin Anna got in a terrible car accident and can't walk, it scared me so much. She is my best friend and I was praying like crazy that she would be alright. She's doing okay, but she's in a lot of pain. I'll visit her next week and try to make her happy and help her with her wedding. I love her.
My sister came up with her roommate Krister and we had a fun Saturday, filled with a car wash, a water fight, delicious food, and the Little Mermaid. Ah, I love them. I'm so glad that when things seem bad in my life they always seem to get better in some ways.

In the doldrums?

Right now I feel like I'm stuck in life. Like I'm not really getting anywhere, I'm just in one position and I don't know how to move up or down. If I tell some people how I feel, I might hurt them. So usually I just keep things inside and no one knows them but me. I don't know if that's a good idea, because sometimes I just break down from all the pressure of everything. But I know that some things are for the best, and I need to keep going and trying my hardest- it's all I really can do. Some things really make me happy when I'm just thinking of all the hard things in life... things like my family making me laugh, or receiving a letter in the mail, knowing someone cares, etc. It's always good to know that I'm never alone, even though sometimes I feel that way. I will focus on the joy, and serve others.. that's always the key.

Sometimes what I do to help me be happy is cook! Yay! So today I made some oreos. I don't like chocolate, but I thought I'd make a sacrifice to make my family happy. And they are!

Oh what do you do in the Summertime?

I'm out of school until the first of September. It's a nice break, but it's too short to actually get a real job... so I just stay home and do whatever. It's nice because it actually gives me time to read books (not just what is required from homework), and to spend time with my family. I've been drawing a lot and it just makes me want to design clothes more and more. I have also been creating new inventions in the kitchen, luckily they've all been turning out pretty good and my family has been eating them. That's always a plus.
Summertime is my favorite thing in the world. I love it so much. It just makes me so happy to go outside and feel the sun wrap it's arms around me. We get irrigation water, and my brothers and I surf on it. It's one of our favorite things that we've done since we were little. We always finish our adventure off with a popsicle or snowie. Pure Joy.

Here are some pictures of other things that I've been up to...

We went camping to Jackson Hole, the Tetons, and Yellowstone. It was simply amazing. It was so good to get away from life for a week and just be with nature and my family.

I got to see all of my roommates at Meg's wedding! It was so fun. We won't all be together for a long time because many are going different ways.

We went and visited Rach for her 24th birthday! We ate and Chuck a rama and then visited her garden. Very FUN!

I got to go to my first Real Salt Lake game with my friends! It was a blast. But sadly nobody scored...

New Blogging!

I decided to finally break down and build myself a blog. It took a lot of work but I finally did it, and I'm looking forward to growing in this blogging world!
